Three pieces of software we designed, built, and now run in production. They exist because we wanted them and could not find a version we were happy to pay for.

Platform

Category
Video tooling
Status
Live, free and Pro tiers

A browser-based screen recorder and video editor. Record, cut, subtitle, and export without installing anything.

REQO is our answer to a question we kept running into ourselves: why does making a short piece of video still require installing an editor, learning a timeline, and waiting for your laptop fans to stop screaming? REQO records your screen, edits on a real multi-track timeline, and renders somewhere else, all in a browser tab.

Uptime monitoring

PULSX

Type
In-house product
Platform
Web, with mobile push
Category
Developer tooling
Status
Live, free and Pro tiers

Uptime monitoring for developers and teams: 60-second checks, heartbeat monitoring, SSL expiry tracking, and alerts in the places you already are.

PULSX watches websites, APIs, and background jobs, and tells you the moment something stops behaving. It exists because the monitoring market is split between tools that cost more than the thing they are watching and tools so thin they miss the outage entirely.

Why it matters to you

Running our own software changes how we build yours

Most studios only ever hand software over. We keep ours, which means we are the ones woken up by an alert, the ones paying the hosting bill, and the ones who have to live with a data model decision made eighteen months ago.

That changes the incentives in ways that show up in client work. We are conservative about dependencies, because we have had to maintain them. We take monitoring seriously, because we built an uptime product after being burned. And we are sceptical of anything clever enough to be difficult to debug under pressure.

It is also the most honest portfolio we have. Client work is always partly shaped by someone else's constraints. These are entirely ours, so every decision in them is attributable to us.
